Grape varieties & terroir

Emblematic grape varieties

Our Red Anjou are mainly from the Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon grape varieties. These varieties give wine a beautiful structure, aromatic richness and pleasant flexibility in the mouth. The Cabernet Franc brings floral and spicy notes , while Cabernet Sauvignon adds depth and beautiful persistence.

An exceptional terroir

Our vines flourish on a soil mixing shale and clay-limestone , bringing the wines a beautiful minerality and a unique aromatic depth. This terroir makes it possible to produce light and fruity wines, perfect for gastronomy. The exposure in hillsides promotes optimal maturation of grapes, revealing subtle aromas and beautiful complexity.

A wine anchored in its history

Red Anjou is also a heritage, that of a territory where the vine has been part of the landscape for centuries. Each bottle tells a little of this story, between tradition and renewal. It is a wine that does not seek to impress, but to seduce with sincerity. Behind its apparent simplicity, it offers a good depth, an authenticity which speaks as much to curious as to enlightened amateurs. It is a wine that brings together, both familiar and full of nuances, a faithful reflection of local know-how.

Our selection

Fruity and elegant wines

We are setting up red Anjou highlighting notes of red fruits , such as cherry and raspberry. Their balanced structure and their flexible tannins make them accessible and pleasant wines. These are wines to taste both young and slightly aged to appreciate all their complexity.

A controlled winemaking

We favor a vinification respectful of the grapes in order to preserve all the expression of the fruit. Breeding is done in a tank to bring complexity and roundness. This process helps keep the freshness and intensity of the aromas, while ensuring good flexibility in the mouth .

Anjou Rouge & Anjou Rouge Rouge Pin Château: What differences?

Our classic red Anjou is a light and fruity wine, ideal for moments of sharing and friendly meals. It is distinguished by its flexibility and accessibility. The Red Anjou "Château du Pin" , meanwhile, comes from a selection of grapes from only plots around the Château du Pin, benefiting from an exceptional terroir, which gives it a more assertive structure and a beautiful ability to aging.
