A miracle of nature
The hillsides of the Layon derive their aromatic intensity from a rare phenomenon: the Botrytis Cinerea, or noble rot. This fungus transforms the bays into concentrates of sugar and aromas, under the effect of morning mists and angevin sweetness. This process, as delicate as it is unpredictable, forges sweet wines of incomparable elegance and complexity, where each vintage becomes a unique work.
An exceptional terroir
Nestled on a singular schist soil, the Coteaux du Layon 1er Cru Chaume benefits from ideal conditions for the development of Botrytis. This natural alchemy sublimates grapes, offering wines with intense richness, where sweetness caresses lively acidity, for a balance that is both refined and powerful.
