At the heart of the Samur Champigny appellation, the vines plunge their roots into the tuffeau, this emblematic limestone rock of the Loire Valley. This naturally draining soil, both light and rich in minerals, forges red wines of remarkable finesse. It allows the Cabernet Franc to reveal its entire depth, bringing freshness, flexibility and minerality. It is this unique geological wealth that gives birth to singular, expressive and authentic cuvées.

A Loire climate perfectly cut for Cabernet Franc

Benefiting from a temperate climate under the soothing influence of the Loire, the vineyard benefits from a slow and regular maturity of the grapes. This climatic sweetness promotes the hatching of delicate aromas of red fruits, sweet spices and floral notes. Mostly composed of Cabernet Franc, sometimes enriched by Cabernet Sauvignon for more structure, this terroir offers an ideal balance between fruit, freshness and complexity. Result: harmonious, refined and tasty wines.

From carefully selected old plots, our old vines vigines embodies all the nobility of the Champigny Saumur. Its natural concentration and its beautiful material make it a wine of character, cut for gastronomy. Thanks to a controlled breeding, it develops silky tannins, a full mouth and a long and elegant finish. A tasting cuvée, made for lovers of deep and rated wines.
