The Cabernet Franc, noble grape variety of the Loire Valley
Anjou Villages draws its character and its complexity from the Cabernet Franc, an emblematic grape variety of the Loire Valley, which represents 80% of the assembly, accompanied by Cabernet Sauvignon to bring a little structure (20%). This noble grape variety gives the wine of fine and elegant tannins, while offering a remarkable aromatic depth. It is distinguished by notes of ripe black fruits, such as blackberry and blackcurrant, enriched with a spicy touch which brings a beautiful complexity. Cultivated with meticulous care, the Cabernet Franc allows you to create a wine that is both structured and expressive, revealing all the richness of the Loire terroir.
A rich, privileged and balanced terroir
Our vines thrive on clay-limestone soils, which give wine a depth, finesse and beautiful minerality. This unique terroir, combined with an ideal exhibition and a temperate climate, promotes perfect maturation of grapes. Each vintage benefits from these optimal conditions, giving birth to powerful, but balanced wines, where aromatic concentration goes harmoniously with a refined structure. This exceptional terroir reveals the authenticity of the vineyard and allows each cuvée to express himself fully, with a distinct personality.
Precise winemaking, at the service of quality
We make it a point of honor to preserve the purity of the fruit through careful winemaking. The extraction of aromas and tannins is done in a gentle way, allowing to keep all the richness and complexity of the grapes. Our Anjou villages benefit from a meticulous breeding of 9 months, either in a vat or in barrels, according to the cuvées, in order to strengthen their structure and their aromatic depth. This controlled process gives the wine a silky texture, a finesse of expression and an increasing complexity, which do not fail to enrich each sip. The result is a perfectly balanced wine, of great elegance, to savor both in its youth and slightly aged.
