Some of you already know it: the estate changes ownership, so to retrace the history of the domain and its future, here is a cross portrait of those who will constitute the face of the Delaunay domain now:

When we enter the offices of the Delaunay estate, we can see our father's photo, smiling, on his tractor surrounded by flower orchards with marked above "all through work". This is our education.
Naturally, we, children, have entered the family exploitation created by our parents in 1975 under the social reason Gaec Montjean Côteaux to work on the field in which we have been rocked since our childhood.
After each more than 30 years as agricultural, we turned to the future by noting that none of our children wanted or could succeed us.
Even if we are young, we have decided to transmit our heritage with our atypical property (many buildings + 3700m2 of coverage, our production surface of vines spread over 10 different municipalities up to 30 kilometers around the estate, our different activities: arboreal, wine -growing, wine tourism ...)
We met the Dubus family through the Quartuor Transactions and immediately humanly "matched".
The field was therefore sold on Friday April 28 to the Dubus family. We remain in the project in order to transmit our knowledge and our profession so that in the next 4 years, Emma and Carl can settle.
The Delaunay area remains the Delaunay domain, only social reasons change. The adventure does not end, it continues with new projects and new adventures.

The Dubus, our history and our desires

We, the Dubus, are a family from the trade world. Our parents, and, before, our grandparents, held a food trade in Normandy next to Rouen. From the start of the activity in 1939, the sale of wines was significant. The years passing and the generations succeeded, the store has only become a wine cellar for twenty years, "La Cave des Monts".
From a very young age, Sylvain, my little brother, and I, Franck, we are attracted to the professions related to wine. Sylvain did his profession when I intended for industry.
In 2016, we are making a 1st approach to the winemaker's profession by acquiring 3 hectares of vineyards in Portugal. Last year, we plan to engage in the resumption of a wine estate by integrating this time Emma, my daughter, and Carl, her spouse, our future young operators and visits several farms in France and Portugal.
It is at the end of May 2022 that we arrive for the first time at Domaine Delaunay. We see an interesting production tool and above all a family with which the "feeling" passes right away, the most important thing for us. Indeed, we are not winegrowers and desire that the transferors stay with us while the Delaunay family seeks to sell but wishes to stay in place. The conditions were met for a great adventure!
In fact, Carl will return to BTS Viti-oeno class in Montreuil Bellay while Emma improves his knowledge with an Evènementiel-Evenemential Bachelor. In parallel, we are developing a trading (MWS-Montjean Wines & Sharing) in order to offer a specialized offer in Loire Valley wines.
It is now up to us to prove us, and we can count on a motivated team!
